Hi... I'm Barry. I grew up near Chastain Park (I was the First Bar Mitzvah at Congregation Or VeShalom in 1971) but I recently moved back home to Atlanta after almost 30 years of living in South Florida (Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca, and West Palm Beach) where I was a Highly Professional Photographer for several high-priced studios starting in 1997. However, during this time, I noticed a significant gap in the Studios offering Affordable Photography Services, particularly for Affordable Mitzvah Photography. So, I decided to offer my clients something more. The same high quality, the same creativity, and a whole lotta fun... all while providing Affordable Mitzvah Photography Packages.
Real World Photography for Today
I founded Bima Shots (along with Brides on a Budget (Weddings) and Affordable Affairs Photo (for Corporate, Proms and other Parties) in 2001. Then, on April 1, 2024, I changed my complete pricing structure to offer 1/2 Price Packages with Full Quality Images. The reality is... I don't really do this for the money anymore. It's more like what the Doobie Brothers, Styx, and Earth, Wind and Fire do every Summer. They do what they do because they love what they do! Me too!

I moved back home to Atlanta in late 2014, and it's been non-stop ever since. My work is appreciated here, because not too many studios want to provide affordable photography for Mitzvah's. I keep it simple, creative, and fun while maintaining professionalism, honesty and respect. Of course, I prioritize hospitality and great customer service, caring about
my customers... more than my bank account.
